Pettr - How we use the data we collect

Pettr is an online service that was created by Caelisco to provide an affordability calculator around pet ownership. To this extent, the service collects survey data and builds aggregated datasets. In this first iteration, we deliberatey try to collect as little personally identifiable information as possible. If you want to read up more about Pettr, head to the about page. Existing Pettr services are free! You are not charged to make use of this service. Because Pettr makes use of survey information from the general public, Pettr cannot be held liable for the accuracy of the information presented to users, as it depends on the honesty of the individuals populating the service through each survey. Pettr works off of data that has been averaged across select data inputs in the calculation process of results. By reading this document, you will understand what services we provide, how we provide those services and what we do with your personal information. It is important that you read, understand and accept our terms if you would like to use this service. All around the website, you will see the following tag present:
version x.y
which clearly shows you which version of Pettr you are using. We plan on enhancing the UI, UX, brand, and services available to you, and this is a key visual that tells you what version of Pettr you're currently on. Cookies are used to identify return users, and we use Matomo for additional data analytics. We also make use of sessions. Pettr uses SSL site-wide.
